Last year my neighbor gave me these two Christmas trees already machine embroidered onto the material. She wasn't aware of it at the time but they were glued to pieces of cardboard and stuck into sheet protectors. She ran across them and knew that she would never do anything with them and knew that I am a crafty sort so she gave them to me.
The only thing I could think to do was to make pillows out of them. (I wasn't blogging then, so please excuse the quality of picture.) I went and purchased the green material and the pillow forms. I think they turned out pretty good. After I was done with them I took them back over to my neighbor and gave them to her!! She didn't see that one coming! LOL
My husband is one of these people that does not like pillows or afghans on the couch. They would NEVER get used in my house! Afghans and blankets are forever being stuffed behind the couch or the recliner (out of sight is best for him). I think I've finally gotten him used to having one afghan and one little pillow on the couch as I use them a lot.
