Baseball Bat n Ball Baby Rattle

I wanted to make a Baseball Bat n Ball Baby Rattle for a gift.  I searched high and low for a pattern.  I could not find what I wanted so I designed my own!  I hope you enjoy it as much as I have, and the baby truly enjoys it too!!!  That's the best reward!

I am now selling the pattern on my Ravelry site.  Please look for it HERE

Thank you! Pin It Now!

  1. This is adorable! How on Earth did you come up with it?

What are the finished dimensions of the rattle? Do you think that I could crochet it with scraps or would I need to buy a new ball of yarn. (I am not used to crochet and have no idea how yarn-intensive the method is.)

Thank you! I can't wait to buy it!

  2. Medusa Hair,

The thought just 'popped' into my head. I knew what I wanted. I could not find another pattern in my usual areas of searching, so I made my own! I have done quite a bit of crocheting so I wrote down what I did and created this pattern. As far as the amount of yarn... I did not measure the yarn I used, but it is definitely less than a skein of each the white and the brown. I am sure you could easily get by with about 1/2 skein of each.

I am guessing as to the size of the rattle. I did not measure it prior to mailing it away. I would say it is 8" - 10" long and at the widest it is 2" - 2 1/2" wide.

Thank you for stopping by! I do appreciate it.
