Forgotten Voices

I received an email from Brian, a volunteer at Forgotten Voices, and he asked if I would share with you.

Forgotten Voices is an organization that demonstrates the love of Jesus Christ by equipping local churches in southern Africa to meet the physical & spiritual needs of children orphaned by AIDS in their communities.

These children did not ask to be orphaned.

They have created these cubes that can be printed out and put together quite easily.

You can download the cubes here.

It would be a good opportunity to teach your children about other parts of the world and that there are kids there that don't have families.  How sad is that?

I know we have families here in the United States that need help too.  I often have internal conflicts about helping other countries when there are so many that need help here... but... truth be known... if I could twitch my nose or snap my fingers and make everyone healthy and happy I would... but... God has not given me that ability.  God is a father and fathers know (as hard as it is) that people need to have goals in their lives.  If everything was simply given to them what goals would they need to have?  In the end, we are happier people if we have goals and achieve them!  We are happier for ourselves and happier for others when goals are a part of our lives.

At the very least this is a little bit of an activity to help keep your kids busy, even if only for a few minutes during this long holiday.

  1. Thanks so much for sharing with your readers about the cubes! We truly appreciate your help getting the word out. Our prayer is that many hearts would be opened to care for orphans.

May God bless you and your family this holiday!
