SCAM I really hate SPAM!

A sad day when we feel we have to warn our friends of someone trying to do others harm.  

Unfortunately I received one of these emails this morning. I wanted to pass along so others would know THIS IS A SCAM! http://redsquarepools.wordpress.com/2011/08/03/attention-business-owners-and-blog-post-authors-scam-alert/ Even though my gut told me otherwise, I answered before researching.

I received an email request from the alleged “Bob Wilson” requesting information and pricing for a part/product mentioned in one of our recent Red Square Blog Posts.  After researching I found the exact same posts on other blogs in the same format as below.  Whomever designed the script searches BLOGS, captures a PRODUCT NAME and an EMAIL ADDRESS, then automatically sends email request for purchase of product.  THIS IS A SCAM / SPAM / BLAM!!!

I have found that SCAM / SPAM / BLAM email’s often have the same RED FLAGS:  poor punctuation, improper sentence structure, a sense of urgency, mention of credit card payment and NO Phone Number.
