Blog Title in Subject Line

Do you ever go looking for the emails from blogs looking for that 'one' post you know you saw?  Looking for that 'one' project you either want to show someone or do for yourself? When you sort by name and find who you're looking for you see

Now what?
You spend time looking through.all.of.those.emails.ugh.

For those that do not already use this, I am going to show you how you can fix that for your friends and followers.






After you have logged into your (blogger) account and you find your Feed Burner box click on the wrench - OR - you can go to Feedburner at the link here.

Click on "View stats and more"

You should see your blog's name.  Click on that name as it is a link.

Click on the "Publicize" tab

As you can see, I do not have a lot of subscribers, but I'm OK with that  :)  To me it's not about the numbers.

Click on "Email Subscriptions"

Click on "Email Branding"

Now to change the Email Subject/Title you can either type exactly like they show in the "HOT TIP" or you can actually copy and paste the little section after "Use..." and paste it behind your blog's name.  I would suggest leaving your blog's name in there as if someone were to sort by subject all of your emails would end up in the same section.

You can also opt to change the subject line should you ever have 2 or more posts go out at once.  I've never had to worry about that - to date - but thought I'd change it while I was in there.

You can look at the other "Examples" and see other options they have.

Then you need to scroll waaaay down...

On the way down to the bottom you can change your fonts used and they will show you a sample as what your email will look like.


Below that sample you need to click on Save! Amazing how important this one little step is!  Amazing how many times I've made changes like this without clicking Save and wondering why my changes didn't take place!  LOL {Oy Vey}

Now... when I (or you) sort the emails from my blog you'll see

See how much nicer that is?
