The Ants Go Marching

"The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching one by one,
The little one stops to suck his thumb
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

"The ants go marching two by two, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching two by two, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching two by two,
The little one stops to tie his shoe
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

For the second shirt for my older grandson I decided to do ANTS!
(Admittedly I was visiting a blog and someone was showing a shirt they made, with the idea they got from a shirt in a store.  Unfortunately I cannot remember where I was, so I cannot give that blogger credit for my idea of using ants.  If you are that blogger, please contact me and I will correct this posting!)
Most little boys like bugs! In fact I know that my grandson was 'bugging' his mom about a container to keep his bugs in recently... so... I hope he will like this shirt that grandma made for him!

I went to my latest newest bestest friend, my Silhouette.  : )

After I pulled the excess away, weeded away all the little holes, and cut them all out to be individual ants, and then ironed them on I came up with this for the front:

and this for the back...

The line of ants that go over his shoulder and around his body are continuous.  On the front there is a line of ants that are headed for his pocket (thanx to a suggestion from a friend of mine).  Boys put everything in their pockets!

The other shirt I made for the older grandson is Chuga-Chuga Choo-Choo and for the younger grandson I made these Monkeys.

I will be showing all four of the shirts I made in the next post.

Enjoy!
